“I began my career in communications working for the mobile phone provider Orange but quickly moved into the Residential Lettings Sector in 2005 when I began working for Jordan’s Residential Lettings as a Negotiator. Working within all areas of the lettings business, I was transferred to the Chester branch in 2007 as Branch Manager. I was successful in transforming the business and increasing the overall performance.
The Jordan’s Chester office was purchased and re-branded with me project managing the transformation of the business into Jordan & Halstead, overseeing the migration of customers, staff and systems. I also worked on the transfer of property portfolios from other letting agency acquisitions. Tasked with running the business I was accountable for all areas including finance, management and business development.
In early 2009 I was selected to lead the development of a new business from product planning to inception. I conceptualized and launched ‘Rent on Time’ into the marketplace. The product was launched within 2 months and I also worked closely with the Sales Director to launch Rent on Time’s letting agent and financial intermediary propositions.”
After several years in Marketing Management, I moved into senior Operational Management roles, followed by, Head Of Customer Service and Experience, where I was accountable for delivering outstanding levels of Customer Service, focusing on the Customer Journey.
I joined Let Alliance in December 2015 at a pivotal time of outstanding growth as Head of Customer Service, delivering improved referencing procedures. I later transferred to Head of Claims, managing delivery of all rent guarantee claims and finally Head of Rent on Time, giving me the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience gained within Let Alliance to develop and grow this valuable and exciting product.
I joined Let Alliance in 2013 as a Customer Service Representative taking care of Agents in the West Midlands, processing tenant reference data and assisting in piloting the Home Office’s Right to Rent scheme. When the Right to Rent legislation came in to force in 2016, I progressed to the role of Right to Rent Advisor to apply my expertise in document analysis & Home Office legislation.
In 2019 I moved in to the Rent on Time team as Senior Rent on Time Account Manager. This role draws on my previous referencing experience and knowledge gained through my ARLA qualification. I’m passionate about building relationships with our Agents by helping them manage their property portfolios, provide advice, support & training, as well as ensuring the quality of our work is to a high standard.
In my spare time, I can often be found in the cinema scoffing popcorn as I’m an avid film buff and horror movie fan.
I joined the Rent on Time team in October 2015. I spend a large amount of my day on arrears management, assisting tenants to pay off arrears in manageable payments plans.
I oversee managing a large portfolio of housing benefit clients through our business. This is a niche part of the Rent on Time business, however, my history is working within the largest housing association in the UK. This experience allows me to have a great deal of knowledge and real passion for the role.
My key strength is building customer relationships. My clients can talk to me about anything relating to this to help them manage their portfolios. Prior to my role at Rent on Time I worked at Evolift as Business Development Manager.
I am from a banking background having worked for Lloyds Bank in London for many years – my last role being a manager overseeing the Bad Debt Portfolio for five West End branches.
When Lloyds merged with TSB, I was relocated to Brighton to help set up the new Collections Department, helping to draw up and test new procedures as new computer systems were introduced.
Thereafter I managed a large administration team until I then returned to Branch Banking. I left the bank after 28 years and worked briefly for a local charity helping to procure essential funding and run the training centre.
I moved to Chester in 2018 and joined Let Alliance in 2019 as a Credit Controller in ‘Rent On Time’. My previous experience enables me to assist tenants who are experiencing financial difficulties and have fallen behind with their rent. I work closely with the tenants to put in place repayment plans. Whilst I collect payments and chase for arrears I also offer advice and guidance. It is a challenging role, but one I find very rewarding.
I joined Let Alliance after working at Iceland Foods for 10 years, bringing with me a good understanding of the need for excellent customer service which I look forward to developing with Let Alliance.
Outside the office I enjoy spending time with my son and partner, and my energetic springer spaniel.
